Abstract |
Background. Topicality of the article’s subject is stipulated by the demand of the world community for a new quality of education which is generated by globalization of the world economy. The goal of the study is to analyze the directions of higher education system’s reformation in Russia under the impact of the world economy globalization.
Materials and methods. Implementation of the research tasks was achieved on the basis of the analysis of internationalization of higher education as a world trend of development, as well as the analysis of conditions of the competition of national higher educational institutions with foreign educational centers. The methodology included the system analysis and the comparative analysis which allow to state the formation of the world educational space as an integral world educational system, to reveal the impact of globalization on the Russian education and conditions of Rus-sian universities’ competitiveness improvement.
Results. The authors investigated positive and negative effects of globalization for the Russian higher education; alternative strategies of Russian higher educational institutions’ development that are stipulated by the competition within the framework of the world educational space; forms of international educational and scientific rela-tions of Russian higher educational institutions with foreign educational centers; forms of export of educational services; reformation of Russian higher educational institutions’ activities according to international standards aiming at creation of fa-vorable conditions for high quality education.
Conclusions. The examination allows to recommend application of educational programs of double diplomas based on comparability and synchronization of educa-tional programs of universities as an effective form of cooperation of national and foreign higher educational institutions.
